Each year Education by Recreation (EbR) hosts thousands of individuals participating in a large variety of programs throughout Australia. Each program is designed in collaboration with each customer to ensure that all clients’ needs are met.

EbR are renowned for their extensive knowledge and connections within the tourism and education industry nationwide.

Due to this, EbR offers its clients exclusive experiences that are not available to the general public or to other tourism providers. This may include opportunities such as behind the scenes tours, access to facilities or locations based off your area of interest, or access to our extensive network of local experts as examples.

EbR’s goal is to build in people of all ages and cultures, a stronger understanding of themselves as individuals, each other as human beings, and the world around them.

Academic Study Programs

These programs are designed to meet our client’s academic goals. Each program is ambitious, innovative and result focused combining unique quintessential Australian experiences incorporating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal’s into each program.

Programs can be focused around English as a Second Language (ESL), vocational or higher education lectures with structured classes or students may experience a combination of unique interactive educational activities.

Examples of experiential learning activities:

  • Water quality testing in a variety of ecosystems
  • Eye on the Reef assessment program
  • Participate in an SDG volunteer experience (i.e. tree planting, beach clean-up)

Include a hosted Farmstay as part of your program. Farmstay accommodation provides participants with the opportunity to experience rural life in Australia. The experience involves homemade meals, friendly hosts and the opportunity to participate in a range of farm activities. Guests may choose from a range of farm activities depending on each farm and their individual ability. Some popular activities guest participate in include spending the day feeding the farm animals, spotting wildlife, fruit picking, cooking scones, hand-held horse-riding, swimming in waterholes, gardening or weeding, enjoying Devonshire tea on the porch or bushwalking. Many of our farmers love to also take guests sightseeing to nearby waterfalls, bushwalking locations and other farms.

High School Excursions

High school excursions provide groups of students 4-day programs provided during school time as part of the school curriculum.

Local School Integration Programs Excursions

Visiting a local school provides a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves into the Australian education system and gain a life-long buddy.

School programs can be arranged from a half day through to twelve weeks in duration and can be customised to match the academic focus of the group.

Many students return year after year to the same school to develop their English skills and spend time with their 2nd families.

Mother and children programs

Mother and children programs are programs allow mothers and children to travel on the same program together and have joint participation in some aspects of the program.

The children will either participate in an ESL study program or a local school program.

The mother can choose to participate in an ESL program as well or in other activities such as golf, scuba, massages, high teas etc.

Alternatively, we can provide mother and child ESL separate lessons followed by an activity together.
