Study Tours enable students to increase cultural understanding, language skills, personal development and provide exposure to Australia’s schooling system whilst combining theory with real-life experiences both in and out of the classroom.
EbR has been in operation since 1996 and has extensive experience with Study Tours in schools throughout Australia. A list of some of these schools can be found on our company profile, which can be downloaded from our website www.banoragroup.com.
The peak season for Study Tours is March, July and August. 80% of Study Tour groups happen during these months. Local schools & language schools have limited capacity so it’s best to book early.
January to February, May to end of June, early September and October are low seasons and there is an opportunity for discounted packages.
Education by Recreation caters for groups all ages and interests. We have hosted groups consisting of parents and children, primary school students, high school students, university students, mature-age groups, professional groups and more.
Absolutely! EbR can create customised program to suit your requirements in a large variety of locations across Australia.
EbR can arrange a large variety of accommodation options for programs. Whilst hotel accommodation may be more suitable for shorter term stays, we encourage all programs to participate in Homestay and/or Farmstay accommodation as it enhances the overall cultured learning experience.
Yes. It is possible, subject to availability at the host school. Private Schools allocate a limited number of placements for Study Tours on a yearly basis, so bookings need to be made well in advance. Usually their Sister School bookings will take priority.
Yes. We can arrange full day lessons. However, we recommend younger students have a half-day lesson with an activity in the afternoon, as it is difficult to concentrate for a full day. If the local school does not have availability, we can arrange lessons at a local English Language school.
Specific English lessons are for non-English speakers. Local students do not join the group. The lesson is a closed class. However, some schools can incorporate activities with local students using English communication. I.e. Orienteering with a buddy, sports, dancing, cooking etc.
Yes. It is easier for students to integrate with younger students as their language ability is similar and younger children are not as pre-occupied with their studies, the opposite gender and out of school activities. It is more rewarding for the international students to communicate without feeling self-conscious about their level of English.
During peak season, there is a possibility that another group of the same nationality may overlap. This is because they would prefer to accept your group rather than decline you due to an existing booking. Each program is individual, and activities will not be combined. Other nationalities may also be attending the school at the same time.
